Why Bars named official superfood snack bar of the Royal Oak Leprechauns
Royal Oak, Mich. (July 27, 2021) - Why Bars, the superfood snack bar developed for bar eaters, by bar eaters, announced today a marketing and promotional partnership with USA Prime Michigan’s Royal Oak Leprechauns baseball team, part of the Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League. Effective immediately, Why Bars is the official super food snack of the Leprechauns, providing bars for both the home and away teams to eat as part of their pre- and post-game nutritional routine. In exchange, the Leprechauns are posting a Why Bars banner on the outfield fence at Royal Oak Memorial Park, their home field, and will also be making promotional announcements about Why Bars during home games.

The Leprechauns are the latest baseball organization to partner with Why Bars and to use them as the preferred superfood snack food for their athletes. Why Bars is currently working with several MLB teams, including the Detroit Tigers, the New York Mets, and the Toronto Blue Jays, as well as both the MLB and minor league teams for the Tampa Rays and the Oakland A’s.

About the Royal Oak Leprechauns
The Royal Oak Leprechauns are part of the Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League, which has been in existence since 1987. The league for 2021 consists of 14 teams throughout Indiana, Ohio, and Michigan.
The Leprechaun team is a division of the USA Prime Michigan organization, which began in Birmingham, MI in 1999 to provide players motivation to stay in school and continue their education. In 2005, with expanded growth, the organization became a nonprofit and began to include players from all over Oakland County. In 2015, USA Prime Michigan added the Leprechauns, and team owner Mark Sackett signed with the Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League and began this program at Siena Heights University.
